Healthcare Providers offer services at the 2008 Community Wellness Fair

IPRC and the Latino Organization of the Southwest (LOS) thank the following agencies for offering services at the health fair, held on Friday, November 7, at Marquette Park:

  • Family Foot and Ankle Center
  • Holy Cross Hospital
  • IMAN Health Clinic Initiative
  • MacNeal Hospital
  • Mobile C.A.R.E Foundation
  • National Kidney Foundation
  • Saint Anthony Hospital Programa Cielo

More than 1,200 adults and children were served at the fair.

We also thank Andrew Holmes, a South Side community activist who generously donated two bicycles raffled at the fair.

Diabetes now affects nearly 24 million people in the United States, or 8 percent of the U.S. population, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
